Thanks so so much to everyone who came along to support our monthly beach cleaning- which I am absolutely delighted has returned! Big thanks to Lightning Fibre for the use of their van to transport equipment!
40 volunteers (all maintaining SD as everyone arrived in waves and in their bubbles)55.28kg of rubbish collected including 17 PPE masks, the dreaded single use coffee cups some bought locally, a safe, tyre and lots of fishing line which was popped into the recycle point at the buckle car parkOne thing that transpired from today was the concerns about litter along the roads and also the sewage outlet up at splash point. As we are a beach cleaning set up I’m always happy to get stuck in with concerns that are part and parcel of ocean health so you can always voice your concerns to the Lorax of the sea – moi!
